The South Ward Branch of the Conservative Party has selected an active grassroots campaigner as the candidate in the upcoming South Ward by-election on the 28th October.
Abid Aziz stated:
"I have the qualities necessary to be a good Councillor, being confident, a good listener, a good leader, and a good team player. I am a problem solver and I will help to resolve the issues facing our ward. If elected, I propose to highlight the gang crimes and drug abuse in the South Ward.
I propose a return to constituency surgeries where I can speak to real people and solve the real problems facing residents.
In addition, I aim to lobby for some traffic control measures such as speed breakers to prevent speeding near our local parks and schools."
A long-time South Ward resident, Abid has extensive local knowledge and will challenge Labour on their record in the ward.
